LabVIEW utilities

Introduction

LabVIEW can be used to create many types of programs such as create data-acquisition and control programs. But LabVIEW can also be used to create general purpose support programs, or utilities.
What follows is a list of utilities, both complete programs and subroutines, that can be used in the development of bigger LabVIEW projects.

• LabVIEW USB DAQmx  detector
  This utility detects which previously connected USB DAQmx device is currently connected to your PC.
• Loop inspector
  This subroutine library helps to identify which loops are failing in a program with multiple loops.
• LabRecipe
  This utility adds timing, repetition and conditional program flow to a LabVIEW program without changes to the LabVIEW block diagram or graphical code.
• Generic datalogger
  The datalogger is a single channel datalogger used to demonstrate the driver functionality for various (serial) devices.
• Serial Device Tester - Single Shot
  This program is a handy tool that helps you to find or verify the right command structure and timing or that, more in general, helps you to test the propper working of your device.
• RS-232 test program
  A simple DOS-based program (MASTER.EXE) to test the basic control commands of a serial device.
